Irish Open 2026 Set to Ignite Marrakech with Thrilling Poker Action

Irish Open Brings Excitement to Marrakech

The renowned Irish Open poker festival is set to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, from November 10 to 15, 2026, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion. This prestigious event will unfold at the iconic Casino de Marrakech, where an exhilarating lineup of 36 poker tournaments will be held over six days. Participants can expect a range of buy-in levels, starting from approximately €140 and going up to €3,000, catering to players of all skill levels and financial capabilities.

This expansion follows the Irish Open's groundbreaking announcement in April, which revealed plans to venture beyond its Dublin roots for the first time in its 46-year history. As part of its ambitious international tour, Marrakech will host the second leg, joining Sydney and the United States, which will debut in 2027. The festival's co-owner, JP McCann, expressed that global expansion has been a long-standing goal, aiming to elevate the brand as it approaches its 50th anniversary in 2030.

Key Highlights of the Marrakech Festival

The centerpiece of the Marrakech festival is the €1,155 Irish Open Main Event, which promises a thrilling competition with four starting flights and a generous €500,000 guarantee. The excitement begins on Wednesday, November 11, at noon, where players will start with a hefty stack of 50,000 chips. The first three flights will feature 40-minute levels, while the turbo structure of Day 1D on November 13 will provide a quicker path to Day 2, which takes place on November 14. Following the culmination of all four flights, the survivors will compete together on the final day, November 15, to determine the champion.

The festival is not just about the Main Event; it also includes a diverse array of tournaments catering to different preferences. The inaugural Hendon Mob Championship in North Africa will kick off the festival on November 10, alongside high-stakes events like the €2,200 NLH High Roller and the €3,000 Super High Roller. Other notable tournaments include the Mini Irish Open, Africa's Cup, Ladies Championship, and Seniors Championship, ensuring there is something for every poker enthusiast to enjoy.

The full schedule and detailed information about the festival can be found on the official Irish Open website. This exciting event in Marrakech promises to elevate the poker scene, welcoming players from around the globe to experience the thrill of competition in a vibrant Moroccan setting.
