Enhancing Accessibility to Retirement Services in Agadir
In a significant move to enhance the accessibility of its services, the Moroccan Retirement Fund (Caisse marocaine des retraites, CMR) inaugurated its mobile proximity caravan on October 26, 2026, in the vibrant city of Agadir. This initiative is part of CMR's broader strategy known as the "Aller vers" approach, which seeks to bring services closer to beneficiaries, particularly those residing in remote areas where regional structures may be less accessible. The mobile caravan is designed to function as a fully operational agency on wheels, allowing beneficiaries to complete various essential tasks directly on-site. These tasks include obtaining information and guidance, updating personal data, submitting benefits requests, issuing pension certificates, and processing inquiries, alongside support for utilizing CMR's digital services.
Under the slogan “Close to You, Wherever You Are,” this mobile agency aims to supplement CMR's existing territorial network and bolster its presence among beneficiaries, especially in locales that are far from regional service centers. This initiative not only aligns with CMR's commitment to social responsibility and community engagement but also emphasizes the importance of equitable access to services, digital inclusion, and responsiveness to the needs of beneficiaries in underserved regions.
The launch in Agadir marks the first phase of a gradual rollout plan, with the caravan set to visit several other locations throughout the Kingdom over the coming year. Following its debut in Agadir, the caravan will be making stops in Inezgane on November 2, Aït Melloul on November 3, Aourir on November 4, and Imsouane on November 5. CMR plans to extend this mobile service to additional regions based on user needs and local characteristics, reaffirming its dedication to providing accessible and inclusive public services while contributing to territorial cohesion and equality of service access across Morocco.
